The Academic Council works within the frameworks of ANU. It consists of internationally acknowledged academics and independent experts working in the social and economic sectors.
The Academic Council participates in the preparation and implementation of decision support and decision-making tasks between ANU and its partner institutions concerning scientific, education policy, economic and organisational matters.
The Council has been established to support the work of ANU and its partner institutions with its resolutions. The Council also helps to set the principles to develop its curriculum and education, technical and IT facilities with research activities. Further tasks include making proposals in strategic decision-making, reviewing consequences and summarizing their impact on the economy.
The Academic Council annually evaluates the work undertaken in the field of science, innovation and Doctoral programmes and comments on the research facilitating them.
